Annual inspections are the minimum requirement. NFPA 101 requires that maintenance on every exit and emergency light at your facility completed on an annual basis. Call Industrial Fire to schedule Exit and Emergency Light annual inspections.
Exit & Emergency Light Inspections
Proper maintenance of exit & emergency lights during annual inspections is required for U.S. businesses. Owners can test their own exit and emergency lights monthly by pressing the external button and confirming that the light illuminates. Annually, the “90 minute-test” is required. “Pushing the button” does not pass muster with the 90 minute rule. We are required to demonstrate the E-Lights remain illuminated for 90 minutes in the event of power outage. Call Industrial Fire to schedule Exit and Emergency Light annual inspections. Industrial Fire will test each light and each internal battery to confirm that they pass the 90-minute test, replacing batteries where necessary. We add every Exit and Emergency Light in your facility to your inspection report under our BuildingReports.com online platform to give you a paper trail to substantiate your compliance.
